Just finished reading Snap and really enjoyed it. Can anyone recommend any others by Belinda Bauer?

The shut eye is good

I loved Exit.

ChessieFL · 09/04/2025 09:12

All of them! She’s great.

Just finished the newest one “The Impossible Thing” this morning. It’s a bit of a thriller/caper but set around a really interesting true story about rare egg collecting. It was fun and I enjoyed it a lot!

I’ve not tackled the Exmoor trilogy, but would happily recommend the rest. She has such a quirky imagination. I’ve read & listened to Exit and think all would be good narrated.

You really need to. The second one, Darkside kept me up until the early hours because it would not let me put it down.

Rubbernecker is brilliant

Thanks for all your recommendations. It's so exciting when you get a new author!

I've loved all of her books, even the ones that feature kids, and which I probably wouldn't normally touch. I was surprised when I read the Exmoor trilogy just how compelling and ultimately memorable I found it. I've gone on to read all her books except the most recent, which I didn't know existed, and have just bought from Amazon.

So, thanks for the prompt which made me check her new books on Fantastic Fiction!

They're all good. Read them .

I've only read Rubberneckers but I thought it was brilliantly original and really gripping.

That was my favourite but I have enjoyed them all

I’m in the middle of the Impossible Thing and really enjoying it. Also loved Snap.

WinterFoxes · 17/04/2025 22:41

All of them. She's a really good writer.

arcticpandas · 19/04/2025 19:37

I've read all of them. Just so frustrated waiting for her to release something New now.. her writing reminds me of Ruth Rendell's..

AvonCallingBarksdale · 20/04/2025 11:19

Just finished The Impossible Thing. I absolutely loved it - purchased as a Guardian recommendation having enjoyed Snap but did not except to enjoy it so much.
