I'm looking for a non-cheesey Christmas book. I love cheesey romance films but not books. Something literary but set at Christmas.
Does this exist?!

Ha, I should have said I'm a teacher and read A Christmas Carol to the kids nearly every year! Thanks though.

I like to read The Dark is Rising by Susan Cooper every Christmas. It feels so atmospheric and is set fairly close to where I grew up which is an added bonus.
