I enjoyed it but it was slightly over- self-conscious for me. I was slightly disappointed because I didn't think the book thieving was ever more than a device. I never felt she was being moved or changed by anything she read.

The bit I loved was the Max storyline and I was almost cheering at the resolution of that thread.

I loved max too .
I also liked how death was actually quite a nice guy lol.

I really enjoyed it.

I started crying on about page three, then carried on, on and off, through the whole book.

I cried on and off too squonk
I bawled my eyes out when death was describing taking gas chamber victims souls from the roof of the chambers .

I quite enjoyed it but it was a touch heavy on the metaphors!

Yesthe death character was very moving. It was an interesting conceitdeath actually being appalled at what we humans get up to and moving in to 'rescue' the suffering.

peanutbear · 29/04/2008 08:36

I enjoyed it - I liked the fact it was written from Deaths perspective

BellaBear · 29/04/2008 08:37

amazing, so original in the way it is written
