The Jane Austen Book Club (or something along those lines...) Anyone read it?

Just got it out the library - is it worth reading?

I started it last night but it hasn't "gripped" me per se, as other chick lit has... no, that isn't an oxymoron!

I watched the film. That wasn't gripping either.

Read it - twas OK from what I remember. I did finish it which is more than I can say for some other books I have attempted lately. I think I read it about 2 years ago though.

I really enjoyed it - but preferred the bits where they talked about JA rather than themselves! I thought it was a nice, gentle sort of book - interesting characters.

Didnt really get on with it tbh.

I thought this was a very odd book with no point, story, or emotional resonance.

Quite the opposite of Jane Austen imo.

That's what I was thinking constance.. think I may bin it (well not literally - it's a library book!)

I started it but got bored and left it, same with the follow-up to Mansfield Park.
