Author recommendations?

I've gotten into a bit of a reading rut, so I thought I'd ask for some recommendations based on some of the writers I love. I'm in a bit of a short story mood right now, but novelists are good too.

So, I'm a big fan of:

Shirley Jackson
Robert Aickman
Arthur Machen
Ottessa Mofesgh
Allen Ginsberg
William S. Burroughs
Thomas Ligotti
The Brontes
Barbara Pym
P.G Wodehouse

Thanks!

Rupert Thomson, the best novelist no one's ever heard of - and one of my favourite writers.

Just looked him up and realise I have one of his books, Never Anyone But You, that someone gave me and I haven't read yet. Interesting.

I like Barbara Pym too. Have you tried Anita Brookner.
