Anyone read this? (well, obviously they have - I mean on here!). It so eerily mirrors the whole Trump for President scenario and King wrote it way back in the 70s. Great read if you haven't, one of his very best.

This popped into my mind when I was reading the news this morning. Haven't read it in about 15 years but as with a lot of King's books it sticks in the mind.

It's like the things the Simpsons have predicted too. I suppose people ignore all the things that don't tally up though!

Liked this book a lot, gripping, King at his best. The film was excellent too.

I saw the film when it came out - when I saw last night about Trump, I remarked to DH 'dead zone is coming true'

Interesting idea. I’ve read The Dead Zone decades ago. But what todays news really brings to mind for me is the way the murderer tried to cover it up in Agatha Christie’s A Murder Is Announced.

Spoilers:

A woman fuses the lights, and under cover of darkness, shoots someone. But she uses embroidery scissors to nick her own ear, making it look as though she was the intended victim.

I also thought of The Dead Zone this morning. Agree it's one of his best.
