Has anyone read this? I recently watched the tattooist of auschwitz which I didn't get around to reading. I was eager to follow up with Cilkas Journey but oh my I'm struggling. I don't think it's particularly well written and I feel guilty for being bored by such a terrible story. Would be interested to know anyone else's thoughts and hope I'm not just a cold hearted bitch!

I felt the same. But then I felt that way about the Tattooist one too, although I enjoyed (enjoyed probably the wrong word but you know) the series on Tv. I just don’t think the author is a very good writer 🙈

I've given up and feel very guilty! It's just so poorly written and lacking any emotion

Awful book. So badly written, and such a waste of a story about a horrendous time. I felt guilty too.
I won’t bother with any other Heather Morris books.

No I won't bother either tbh and it's such a shame because the stories need to be told

I thought this too and also wondered if I was being too cold! I found the Tattooist a more interesting read, but sadly couldn't even finish Cilka.

I thought the Tattooist of Auschwitz was a good book, but Culls journey was annoying. I think it's because she interviewed the tattooist himself, whereas Cilka was someone she only had third hand accounts of. There was a lot of cliches in the gaps she'd had to use her imagination to fill.
The Three Sisters, I rated between the other two.
