Has anyone read this? I'm about 200 pages in and about to give up through sheer boredom.
Cure for insomnia, more like.

I read it years and years ago, I don't remember it all that well so it can't have been one of my favourites! I read IT when I was 13 (30 years ago!) and can remember that one really well as it was so good.

I liked Insomnia but I remember reading it abroad in my 20s when I had lots of time and there weren't many English language books around. I don't know if I would make it through one of those big SK bricks now.

I do remember staying up late to finish it and thinking afterwards how strange his books are, in that you can't stop reading but after you finish the book you don't feel...full?

See I loved insomnia I think you have to stick to it but it's very very different to his normal stuff, it's a great link book for his old school stuff to his newer books

I read 75% of it when I was about 13 or 14 but was never that into it. It sat on my bedside table for about a year but I never finished it. The only other Stephen King book I read was Carrie and I finished that fairly quickly but wasn't impressed with it either! I think I found Richard Laymon at that point and his books were more interesting and scary!

Oh I remember another book I read by SK (or it might have been a short story as I think it was part of a larger book), that I actually really enjoyed and that was The Langoliers.

It’s one of my favourites, but it does have a very different feel to a lot of his others.
