Next Cormoran/Robin title announced (#8) - no publication date yet - autumn this year?

J. K. Rowling has mentioned it on X/Twitter in the last day or so. She's been on Sark for research purposes. She says a few chapters will be set there. New title is The Hallmarked Man. No publication date yet, but speculation is if she's nearly finished the manuscript it could be out before Christmas this year.

I think I read a book set on Sark when I was a child. I've always wanted to visit it. Maybe this will be the spur I need.

It feels like the last one was only five minutes ago! It can’t be September, surely. I would have thought maybe next year.

I like that they’re long and ambitious, and I would far rather let JKR take as much time as she needs

Rob Rinder’s two books are excellent. Different as they are written from the trial perspective.

I’ve listened to the entire Slough House series while waiting for the next Strike, now I’m waiting for the next Slough House too but at least the new season will be on TV soon. Might have a look at Rob Rinder, I didn’t enjoy the first Richard Osman though. Someone has just said on another thread that there’s going to be another Jackson Brodie book by Kate Atkinson out this week, that’s another favourite crime series of mine.

I have the first book in this series on my TBR pile. To be honest I'm scared to read it because that will be me buying a whole load more books 📚 Dh has got me the Slough House box set for my birthday and he's only gone and wrapped them and sat them next to the bed, that's just torture 🙃 maybe i should have a little read of the cuckoo's calling while I wait for Wednesday 🤔

Very exciting! Love Strike and Robin so much and it's all written with such sharp observation and sophisticated wit.

Audible books of the series are the way to go...

I’ve just read the whole lot back to back and now have no idea what to do with myself while I wait impatiently for the next one, or at least the next TV series.

JKR tweeted a few days ago about being back working on the new novel, but no hints about the publication date.

If Ink Black Heart is the one based around computer moderators, it's my least favourite Strike but I still loved it!

I'm really interested in how they are going to do Ink Black Heart for TV as so much of the action takes place in chat rooms with different people participating in different rooms and chats

It was the hardest book for me to read as I was awaiting cataract surgery and the font size was tiny and could not be enlarged

Love the Strike books. I read her latest one flying home for four hours on a flight back from Tenerife in January. I couldn't put it down. It was long but SO good.

Can't wait for the next book and TV series.

Still no release date for the book but at least the new Strike TV series starts on Monday!
