Audio book platform recommendations please

I'm trying to utilise my walk to and from work. I've mostly been listening to podcasts but find them a bit hit and miss so am thinking about trying out audio books. I've got Amazon Prime whiere it looks to be an add on for £7.99 a month (if I have got that right). Can anyone recommend any alternative platforms for me to consider please?

Audible, which is through/owned by Amazon. If you get on with them it's cheaper to pay yearly. I get 24 books for the year, for about £110, which is £4.59 per book. You can also get daily deals for £2.99. I think there are some you can read for free too.

Yes check with your library. I also use BorrowBox for free.

And Libby as well that audiobooks too

I really like using Borrowbox from the library now. After having had an Audible subscription for many years, it was frustrating finding the same books coming up for free on the library's Borrowbox, so I stopped paying for audible. The only difference is that there can be a long waiting list for some but there's a huge selection of other books you can borrow whilst you wait.

Thanks for the responses. I hadn't realised it was something I could get from my library, so am on the waiting list for a few books and am part way through one now.

If you have spotify then audio books are now included.

If you've got Spotify Premium, you get fifteen hours a month of free listening for a good selection of audiobooks.
