Gripping Thriller/Comedy Recommendations

Morning all!

Please give me recommendations for multiple gripping thrillers AND funny/comedic books/podcasts to listen to while I'm doing all of the following:

Running
Cooking
Drafting
Cleaning
Driving
And just, doing!

I love funny and witty, so podcasts would be great, or books with a dark sense of humour.

I love to get lost in a good book, I prefer novels for thrillers as I find podcasts don't flow enough for me to lose myself in them. Although, never say never!

I've googled but am not really getting anywhere, so please, help!

☺️

Podcast wise I highly recommend:

No Such Thing As A Fish.
Four of the QI elves get together and share their favourite fact of the week. It is funny, witty and clever. And different every week.

Lady killers with Lucy Worsley.
There have been 2 series of this where Lucy looks back at female killers from history with today's perspective. Really interesting and a bit creepy at times.

After Dark
A relatively new podcast from History Hit. Looks at historical murders and spooky, strange and weird stories from history. Again, can be quite creepy at times!

Hope that's helpful!

I really enjoyed the podcast 'Who shat on the floor at my wedding?'. I roared with laughter at every single episode.

You could try Over My Dead Body by Maz Evans

All of these sound fab! Thank you, everyone. I feel energised to go for my afternoon run, will come back for hopefully more recommendations and feedback on the ones I've got. I really appreciate it. Thank you 😊

Thanks @Riverlee, I came here looking for thriller recommendations for a long-haul flight and your first two suggestions look great 👍 (The Cult looks a bit too creepy for me 😄)

The Sweetpea series by CJ Skuse. They are both hilarious and thrilling- about a female serial killer. The woman who reads the audiobooks is fantastic too.

Christopher Brookmyre covers both bases. He’s one of my favourite writers for sheer entertainment
