BorrowBox and Libby apps

I thought I’d share here in case people don’t know about them - they’re ebook & audiobook libraries. You need to be signed up to an actual library & enter your ticket details, but once that’s done you can borrow / put holds on books via the apps. They’re brilliant.

Use this all the time saves me a fortune. If you have the right Ebook reader you can sync them easily on to it.

Yes, I have both and they are fantastic and must have saved me a hug amount of money over the years.

I have borrowbox and use it loads. It also inspires me to buy real paper books as I get into a series.

The Libby app is very buggy, I find.

It's amazing to have access to many books on my phone, but it randomly crashes, stops recognising my library card, or deletes all my books and tags sometimes.

The best way is to download to your e-reader so you aren't using the app for anything other than reserving the books.

If you have a kobo or nook they are compatible. You can't use e-pub books on a kindle e-reader only on a kindle tablet. It makes having a kobo so worthwhile

I have had no problems with Libby - I use it on a Samsung Tablet.
