Kindle help please!

I've just treated myself to a new paper white in the prime day deals. Planning to set it up this weekend. I was thinking of giving the old one to my daughter to use when we go away this summer. Is it easy to set it up so that I can send books suitable for her on that one, and keep my books separate so that hers don't then also appear on mine?

I think you'll need two separate profiles or both kindles will show both sets of books? If you add a child profile to your Amazon account will it let you link them - so she's getting books through her own profile but linked to yours.

You should be able to put the parental controls on her kindle in the settings screen so she can't access things you don't want to.

Thank you! I think I've already got a profile set up for her from an old kindle fire kids. So my account can be linked to the two but with out different profiles on each? I'll have a look at that now thank you.

I was trying to do this. I think the easiest way (if you want your child to have some of the books you've already bought) is to clear out all the books, download the ones you want them to have and then turn off wifi access.

Thank you! That will only clear them from the one kindle and not both yes?

I think so although I haven't tried it yet. You should be able to erase the downloads but still have access to them for future use. Just don't erase them permanently.
