Just finished it in a day - what a good read (of course, the little BTNs have had endless cbeebies and rubbish food while my nose was stuck in it.) Anyone else read her? Can you recommend anything else along those lines? Did NOT see the twists coming, and her prose was beautiful.

real page turner and intriguing ....

dosydot · 22/02/2008 19:09

loved this, though it was a very well written book

PanicPants · 22/02/2008 19:11

I loved it all the way to the end, and then I thought the ending was, well, a little trite I suppose.

I was expecting something spectacular I think, to match the rest of the book.

Would love to swap - I'll check your address with Mrs BT and send it up. I promise I won't be as crap as with the teething gel...

I have read Sophie Hannah's poetry - and there's a collection called HOTELS LIKE HOUSES (1996) which I love.

I did make the mistake of going to hear her read her own stuff though - and she came across less favourably than her actual writing - seemed a tad arch and bitter, which surprised me.
