Thriller: Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None

Comedy: P. G. Wodehouse: Right Ho Jeeves (closely followed by Evelyn Waugh's Decline and Fall).

Romance: Jane Austen: Pride and Prejudice (OK, hardly original, but it's never been bettered. Lizzie Bennett is SO alive, and the love story is SO believable, that hasn't aged a day).

Self-Help: Eckhart Tolle: The Power of Now
