Interesting. They are owned by Amazon now aren’t they? So don’t need to run a separate website any more.

Acquired by Amazon in 2011. I’m surprised they let it run as its own entity for so long. Shame it’s going now.

Im really sad that they are closing down as Im sure most people that dont live in the UK will be.. the shipping costs on a book from Amazon are more then the book itself!

I don't live in the UK and have spent so much on bookdepository over the last 5 years as it's been the cheapest way of getting books. Really sad that they're closing as there's no real alternative for getting books shipped here. Amazon shipping prices are ridiculous, £22 for a book that costs £2.95.
