I pick books without reading the back so I don't know the plot too soon. I chose Verity on this basis. It was a fantastic, twisty and sinister read with an ambiguous ending which leaves the reader with a lot to mull over. I finished the book this morning and immediately read the bonus chapter online. Hmm... I much prefer the original ending. However, I like the way poor Lowen is turning into manuscript Verity but I'm not a fan of the Patricia situation. As a side note there are a lot of graphic sex scenes in the book which added to the whole obsession theory. When CH credited EL James in her acknowledgements I thought that made sense! I have no interest in reading FSOG but obviously some inspiration was taken from it as regards the sex aspect.
Just want to kick around a few things :
-
Is V telling the truth? I think so because of Jeremy wrote the manuscript posing as her she would know that and say that surely?
-
I don't really know why Verity hid the letter where it was unlikely to be found. Why?
-
Is manuscript Verity really describing Jeremy?
4)i don't see why J had to murder Patricia. She was no threat as they could just have moved on again. Also I doubt Patricia was going to the police to accuse the couple of anything just because Lowen had Nova.
- Is Crew some sort of threat?
