jenny eclair books

I have just read her novels and enjoyed them
except for the writing on the wall which i couldn't finish.
I liked the ones that were about middle aged women and i found them very sad/ funny.
Has anyone got any recommendations for any other books like these?
i'm
i don't want thrillers or coming of age type books at the moment.

Thanks for the recommendations. I started Airs Above The Ground yesterday. Carmel was so irritating that I nearly gave up during chapter one, but chapter two is way better and I'm really enjoying it :)
