I’ve recently been reading some books by Diney Costeloe they are classed as Sagas and the ones I’ve read have been set around the Second World War. I’ve really enjoyed them, can anyone recommend any similar books?

Thanks I’ve read the Cazalet chronicles and really enjoyed them. Will have a look for the Forsyth Saga.

I enjoyed Mollie Waltons Ironbridge saga. Also Anna Jacobs does some really good ones which I'm working through on Audible... My favourite so far is The Gibson Family Saga

The Morland Dynasty Cynthia Harrod Eagles. There's 30 odd of them following a family. Really enjoyed them. Haven't reached the last books yet though

I liked the spoils of time trilogy by Penny Vincenzi. They are a bit on the e blockbuster side but very good indeed.

I like Lilian Harry books - usually set around Portsmouth/Gosport during the second world war (didn't enjoy the Burracome series set after the war so much).
Annie Groves is another one I like. Various different series of 4/5 books in each series set in various different places around the UK.
Maureen Lee was another favourite. Most of her books were stand alone stories but there was a WW2 series of 3 (4?) books set in Liverpool.

The ebook publisher Bookouture publish a lot of series/sagas set at various times in history and in various places.

Possibly a bit dated now, but the Whiteoaks Saga books by Mazo de la Roche were absolutely compulsive reading when I was young!
