I'm an EYFS/KS1 teacher and toddler mum so read a lot of children's books and make frequent trips to the library but I'd like to get back into reading for myself!

Can I have your book recommendations please? Something easy reading but can't put down. 🙏

(I loved the Kate Mosse trilogy, Kate Morton House at Riverton, Audrey Niffengger The Time Traveller's Wife, Daphne DuM Rebecca, Jodi Picoult My Sister's Keeper, Alice Sebold The Lovely Bones, No1 Ladies Detective Agency, Steiff Larsson Millennium Series, Wilkie Collins The Moonstone ...)

Thank you!

Have you ever read flowers in the attic?

The Midnight Library

The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue

The Secrets of Strangers

These have been my favourite over the last year. Really held my attention.

The book isn't called Anything! I meant any book by her 😂

The Salt Path really inspired me after I hadn't read anything for ages! I've just read her second book and ordered the third!

Not your usual books but the metamorphosis and flowers for Algernon. Both short and engaging.

Alexisrose16 · 03/01/2023 22:56

The Seven sisters series is great. Don’t be put of by the length. Also the Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, Lessons in Chemistry, Dear Mrs Bird, and Fingersmith are also great.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo got me out of a reading slump

Lisa Jewell books, or Eve Chase books

Margo34 · 04/01/2023 20:23

Thank you all! I have a very healthy looking list of books to get me back into reading this year. Think I'll start with The Midnight Library 😊
