Bit vague but do you know this book's title?

I remember reading a review or hearing a review of this book but I just can't remember what it's called and the details of the story are slipping away so I though I would see if anyone here knows it. Fingers crossed!!

It's about an old lady with dementia who is dying and you find out her life, I guess through her reflections, during this time. There is more to the story but I am beginning to forget. Sorry I know it is vague!!!

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is the book about Iris Murdoch by her husband, called Iris. But it's not a novel.

I'll think a bit harder.

I know it sounds dreary but I remember reading the rerview and thinking it sounded quite riveting so maybe there was a bit of a mystery involved somewhere, I just can't remember arrrggghhhh!!!!

It isn't Iris (by John Bayley) I don't think. That's more about the dementia than her life (although there is lots about her life too).

Could it be "The House at Riverton" by Kate Moreton

QuintessentialShadow · 03/02/2008 14:47

reader reviews at Amazon

See if it sounds familiar.

I loved this book, totally fab. My mum couldn't finish it though and thought it was awful!
