My DH loves science books but I don’t have a clue. I’ve always bought him books from suggestions on here.

He really enjoyed Sheldrake’s Entangled Life and has read most of Carlo Rovelli and Jim Al-Khalili.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated - thank you.

Hannah Fry's Hello World is good. She also co-wrote a Christmas book which would make a good stocking filler

Neil deGrasse Tyson?
i haven’t read any of his books yet but do have one on the list. It’s on the space science theme.

Adam Rutherford (also co authored a book with Hannah Fry)

Adam Kucharski

Jonathan Drori - Around the World in 80 Trees (and/or Plants)

I haven't yet read it, but this comes highly recommended

It sounds like I have similar tastes to your DH, & I really enjoyed The Code Breaker by Walter Isaacson about the development of CRISPR.

Your Inner Fish by Neil Shubin is a great book and also Wildwood by Roger Deakin (more of a nature book, but a brilliant read).

More to add to the list - thank you

Jenny Uglow, The Lunar Men

Peter Wohlleben The Secret Life of Trees, and The Secret Life of Animals.

He also wrote The Secret Network of Nature which is excellent but might be a bit similar to the Sheldrake book.

If he likes physics then Chaos by James Gleick is an excellent biography of Richard Feynman. Brian Greene's most recent book is another good physics book. If you want biology, We Contain Multitudes by Ed Yong is a good one.

Fantastic - these recommendations are great and I’m enjoying reading reviews so might be tempted to try myself. Thank you.
