Am trying to work my way through this year’s shortlist. Have done The Trees, Small Things Like These and Oh William! (all of which I loved) and Treacle Walker (not so much but it was short. I think the not loving it part may be mostly my fault as I was listening on audiobook and maybe not giving it enough attention).
Have just started Glory and am struggling. I do want to enjoy it but am a bit basic and really need a strong narrative these days or my mind wanders off to all the other things it thinks I should be worrying about. Has anyone read it? How did you find it?
