Circe

I'm around a third into this and really struggling - it feels so slow. Is it worth persevering? On paper it looks up my street but I'm not feeling it..

I liked it but agree it's a bit slow. I much preferred song of Achilles tbh.

I really loved Circe, keep going!

I absolutely loved it, but didn’t find it slow at all and enjoyed the opening as much as the rest of the book, so possibly you won’t love it as much as I did!

So glad you said that op - I found it slow too. Not boring exactly, but nothing like Song of Achilles which had me gripped

I agree Song of Achilles was better, but i started with Circe so i didn't have that to compare. I enjoyed it very much! It's great that the author is a proper historian type.

I really enjoyed it but if you aren't enjoying it 2/3 you might not change your mind.
