Any recommendation on books about parenting

I'm a first time mum. I would like to read books about parenting so that I can understand my baby's emotions and behaviours. Also I want to know what I should be careful about when it comes to child rearing. I don't like some aspect of my personality, which I don't want to pass down to my baby.

So far I have read The Book You Wish Yout Parents Had Read, Hunt, Gather, Parent and All Joy and No Fun and I found all of them are helpful.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I would really recommend Janet Lansburys books - "elevating childcare" and "no bad kids", her website is very helpful and she also does a podcast.

I'd say stop reading, work on the personality trait.

I see that a lot of people like How to talk so kids will listen and listen so kids will talk. Depending on your child’s age, Baby Love is a nice baby book and The no-cry sleep solution is also good - steer clear of anything by Gina F or similar.

Toddler Training - I thought this book was excellant.
