This book my Emma Kennedy!
Why did anyone not ever tell me about it? So funny and relatable to anyone that went on holiday in the seventies as a child!
Best book I have read this year. I normally don't like books with humour but this is a must!

I love this book. I am the same age as Emma Kennedy and a lot of this resonated with our own family holidays and we went to some of the same places.

I don't blame you. It's a book I don't want to end. I keep laughing out loud. I was born early seventies and completely get it!
Anyone over the age of 45 will 'get it'.

Oh I love this book, have reread it a few times and I rarely do that!

I've even audiobooked it, Emma reads it herself and it's fab

I loved this book, it was hilarious, I might have to read it again. I was very jealous of her parents's pale blue landrover.

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 29/06/2022 16:28

Loved it. I think it was Book of the Week on R4 when it came out.

WorriedMillie · 29/06/2022 16:30

It’s very funny, I read it years ago, but may need to dig it out and re-read!

Solosunrise · 07/07/2022 20:38

Sounds like my kind of book! Thanks for the recommendation
