Any Tom Wolfe fans?

Bit random, but been rereading Tom Wolfe's The Right Stuff- about early US astronauts- and am just marvelling at how good it is. Probably the only author in the world who can get away with using exclamations everywhere; he breaks all the rules of good writing. Such impeccable research, colourful characters, great anecdotes.... he just makes all that arcane space stuff come alive.
I also really loved The Bonfire of the Vanities.

Only read TBOTV but it’s so good. Probably could do with a re-read to recall just how well he caught the excess of the 80s.

I've only read The Right Stuff. I read it years ago and remember regularly finding myself in tears on the tube into work. Great book

Me! He’s the best writer ever IMO and I haven’t even read all his books yet. That scene in the Right Stuff where they are welcomed for a BBQ/reception event has me howling with laughter every time I read it. Also the party scene in Bonfire of the Vanities has a similar effect 🤣🤣

I've half read The Electric Kool Aid Acid Test. That was 30 years ago, I should probably try again, I loved what I did read.
