It's in the Kindle deals for 99p.

Hoping it's as every bit as good as his other books.

Has anyone read it yet?

I have and loved it. Not my normal type of book but it is funny and lovely and just perfect.

Oh that's good to know @Paranoidandroidmarvin as I've lived his other books abs didn't want to be disappointed Smile

I didn't like it at all. It is one of the very few books I gave up on. I didn't like the writing style either.

Have you read any of his others @RampantIvy? I'm just a bit suspicious that it won't be as good, I've never seen his books reduced before and the last 99p book I tried was a real shocker which I gave up on.

That one was a different author though Smile

I didn't like it either. Far fetched, lazy characterisation the characters didn't feel real they were stereotypes. And I guessed the 'twist' all along.
Hate books that have pages of italics at the best of times. The interviews didn't ring true.
I haven't read anything else of his, this put me off.

PritiPatelsMaker · 03/05/2022 07:49

It might be going back to Kindle then. I'll see how the italics work but one of the reasons I read on the kindle is because of sight issues and my old eyes are going to cope well with italics...

Have to add in here. That I always love books that most people hate. My normal style of books are zombies or serial killers. So as I said this was a way out there for me. But I really loved it. I don’t go into to much detail with boobs in terms of characters growing etc. that doesn’t really bother me.

Same here.

Obviously not boobs 😂

I have read the first 2 Beartown books and A Man Called Ove, which I really enjoyed.

I hated Anxious People though

That's helpful, thanks @Hellohah as I loved rose books.

I've packed a few more books onto my kindle since posting so that I'm not stuck with a book I'm not enjoying when I'm away next week.

I loved Anxious People. I also really enjoyed A Man Called Ove, My Grandmother Sends Her Regards and Apologises and Britt-Marie was here. I did not like the Beartown books. I found them very repetitive.
