Has anyone else read her autobiography Images and Shadows ? I just loved it she has a beautiful writing style and her life was very interesting

No, I haven’t, but funnily enough she’s just been mentioned in a book I’m reading (This Long Pursuit by Richard Holmes). A friend of mine has holidayed in Iris Origo's former home. I think she was a very interesting figure and I must get round to reading this!

Yes. And then visited La Foce when we were on holiday. Fascinating life story.

Oh La Foch looked beautiful in the photographs I’ve saw of it . I stumbled on her book after seeing an Instagram post about her I would definitely like to read her wartime diary next .
