It's my turn to choose out next book group book.

If you've read any of the following would you recommend?

I've only read two of them:

Winter Solstice is a cosy Christmas read and I quite enjoyed it for what it was, but there wouldn't be anything to discuss.

Mayflies I really enjoyed. There's an interesting ethical dilemma around loyalty to a friend/ the rights of a spouse when there's a real difference of opinion about a huge personal decision for one of the characters. You have to have some tolerance for the - fairly innocuous - misbehaviour and (very Scottish) banter among a group of young men while drinking and partying otherwise you'd find the early part of the book tedious. I was OK with it, but I found the second half of the book much more gripping.

Thank you for taking the time to reply - and your observations. Mayflies does sound interesting.
