I love the name, although officially Emma Magdolna Rozália Mária Jozefa Borbála Orczy de Orci.

Someone in another forum recommended her, and I'm wondering if there is a suggestion of what to start with. I'm aware that she's known for The Scarlet Pimpernel, but also wondering about any stand-alone books, not a series.

Didn't she write detective books? Lady Molly or something? Not read them but once saw them referred to in another book.

She actually wrote quite a lot, but I don't have any sense of what might be a good "test book" to try.

Wasn't she the very first to create 'the masked superhero' with The Scarlet Pimpernel? It was a fun read. I have the others but haven't read them yet. Hoping they are as good as the first.
