I read about this book in Red Magazine last month. The basic premise is you wear a bracelet and every time you find yourself complain you have to swap the bracelet to the other hand. Eventually you are more aware of your complaints and can try and make an effort to stop, this will help you find inner peace or something.
What do you guys think? I think it sounds nice in theory. I am a bit of a whinger and quick to get indignant (especially with poor service) but would hate it if people thought I was a whinger. I would like to be seen a calm, serene lovely person
On the other hand there is a certain camaraderie to be had from complaining. No-one likes it when you vent about your DH or DCs or work and the other person sits back and says something wanky like "you should be happy for what you've got in life" or "don't sweat the small stuff". There's nothing like bonding over a bitching session!
What do you think?
