Dark book. Fantasy / dystopia

Any recommendations for a dark broody book? I like fantasy and dystopia.

The Poppy War needs to become a classic.

If it's dark dystopia you're after then I'd have to recommend The Handmaid's Tale.

I've read most of Atwood and love The Handmaid's Tale and Testemonts, and her others.

I haven't heard of The Poppy War. Will take a look.

I'm a big fan of The Handmaid's Tale and I enjoyed The End of Men.

Behind her eyes is great. I think it's a show now too.

'Before and After' by Andrew Shanahan.
Bleak & brilliant.

I’m not usually a dystopian book reader, but absolutely loved these two books.
