oh dear. Just watched trailer. The hollywood music put me right off...
Funny, the scenes and people's faces were exactly as I imagined

tassisssss · 21/12/2007 22:09

Oh no, it's not out so soon.

I need to read the book first!

ggirlsbells · 21/12/2007 22:14

book was amazing

quite looking forward to the film

read in the ST that the children have had to move away from Afghanistan because of fears of violence because the film deals with rape. They are now living in UAE.

My friend has seen a preview. She loved the book, so was a bit wary, but she said it was fabulous. BUT the big thing that happens at the end of the book (don't want to spoil it for those that haven't read it) isn't in the film.

plumandolive · 22/12/2007 08:08

Book is one of the best I've ever read- hope the film doesn't spoil it.

dirtygertiefromnumber30 · 22/12/2007 09:19

i found the book so distressing though, Im not sure I could cope with the film!

adventkerzylin · 22/12/2007 10:28

dirtygertiefromnumber30, I agree, if the film really is like the book then I wouldn't enjoy it. A very moving book so the film should be a tear jerker.

adventkerzylin · 22/12/2007 10:31

OMG, I just watched the trailer and it brought tears to my eyes remembering the book (I read it a year ago) so I certainly couldn't go to the cinema to watch it.
