Suite Francaise- Am I the only one slightly disappointed with it?

I am not enjoying it.
Not liking any of the characters,don't care enough about them to finish the book and I feel bad.Hate not finishing a book,but at my age am starting to think life is too short really.

well if you're not enjoying it then I'd stop but must say after a slow start I loved it (and like fire in the blood)too. How far into are you?

Me too! And I also hate not finishing books. Actually, what made me give it up was my Mum giving it the thumbs down. I wasn't particularly enjoying it, but after her -ve review I really couldn't be bothered persevering with it. I was at least three quarters of the way through.

The only other book I've given up on in recent times is Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell (is that what it's called? Am on third glass of cheap sparkling wine and am a little fuzzy ).

Well I am nearly finished the first half.
May give it one more go tonight .

oh I liked jonathan strange and mr norrell... might just be me who is odd . But seriously life is too short to carry on reading books you're not enjoying
