Anyone read it? It's the story of how she left her husband, career and family home aged about 56. I have been reading excerpts. I find Lucy simultaneously very privileged and very engaging. I am also due for a midlife crisis.

I have buried the lede. The important thing is that she left her FT job to teach at a state school.

I read it and really enjoyed it. Used to love her FT columns. She’s such an entertaining writer. One of the most pertinent things she says is about how middle-class kids always have a safety net - if they mess up their exams they’ll get another chance. Working-class children don’t have that.
