Audio books through Amazon Prime?

Does anyone know if it's possible to borrow certain Audible books if signed up to Amazon Prime? Or access any free Audible books?

I know you can access and borrow certain Kindle books on Prime and googling seems to indicate there are some available on audio too but I'm going round in circles trying to find them.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, or how to access any free Audible books (thinking the classics) that would be great 🙂

Hey

You can't get free books via audible (though some stuff is free if you are a member). You can buy them as a non member.

Try looking in the app store for free audio books or the library does free audio books.

Libby and BorrowBox are ur go to for library books. If u have a library card u can listen to anything on there. If u don’t. Library cards are easy to sign up for.

If you have kindle unlimited, there are a few which come with free narration. Or some that if you have then on unlimited are priced under a fiver. I usually do it through Google as I can never find them straight through amazon. Google kindle unlimited with narration.

Thanks all. I do use Libby to access through library but the selection seems quite limited.

I used to have Kindle Unlimited but not at the moment.

Will persevere!

You can get audio books via itunes store, cheaper than audible occasionally.

@MWestie You can easily get free Audible books, especially the classics! (Not sure why some posters are saying otherwise.) Audible already offers a lot of free classic audiobooks--no account required, just click and listen! :

Additionally, you can get a one-month free trial for Audible through your Amazon account (www.amazon.co.uk/hz/audible/mlp?tag=mumsnetforu03-21). This lets you download and keep one audiobook (2 if you have Amazon Prime) indefinitely even after the trial expires.

Finally, check out LibriVox (librivox.org) for public domain audiobooks.

Thanks @Star555, will investigate!
