I haven't read any of the Tom Thorne books but Cry Baby looks really good. Would you need to have read a few of the other Tom Thorne books for it to make sense?

I read this and haven’t read any of the others. It’s a prequel so no need to have read them.

Thanks, I'll give it a go. I really like a good depressed detective. The John Connolly Charlie Parker ones are my favourite but I'm up to date with those.

Ooh another receptionist gave me this to read. I have started it this morning (while doing laundry). I am sure I have read something by the author before but not sure what.
