Ian Rankin and Rebus

Considering buying the first book in the series, Knots and Crosses.

Has anyone read it?

I've read the whole series, it's probably my favourite series of books tbh. I think he comes into his own with "Black and Blue" onwards but the earlier books are a decent read anyway.

Read all of the Rebus books years ago and absolutely loved them.

@britespark1I'm reading the Jack Logan series by JD Kirk and they are a good series if you enjoyed Rebus.

I love the Rebus series but I wasn't as taken with the first 3, I loved #4 and didn't like #5 much but after that was hooked.

Yes the later ones are fantastic reads although I wasn't gripped by the last one but the one before that has to be my favourite of the series.

I love them but I spent a lot of time in Glasgow and it brings back the earthy humour of Glasgow and Edinburgh

Yes, I think some people don't appreciate how funny Ian Rankin is.
