Does anyone read 'ebooks'??

How does it work? The titles seem equally expensive as real books I thought they would be cheap like music downloads.

I've never bought any, but I've downloaded a few from the free Project Gutenberg site - they are older books that are out of copyright & I've found a few old favourites there. I've only downloaded the text version to print or read on a PC, not the version for a Palm .
