This is my favourite board at Christmas there's always lots of great suggestions.

Anyone got anything to share? Books to read? Books to give? Who to give which books to?

Or anything else?

Just felt like being cheered up after the crappy year on here so started a thread.

May 2121 be so much better!

Based on someone's recommendation here I've just stared the first Earthsea book by Ursula le Guin. Jury's out still but I'm excited

I'm planning to begin Máirtín Ó Cadhain’s 'Graveyard Clay' on Christmas Day.

Hoping it will be a better Christmas choice than the year I spent the day with Edith Wharton's 'The House of Mirth'. Great book, but caused me to spend all of Christmas evening weeping.

I like to buy my parents (85 and 84 years old) books, they always ask for book tokens. Part of me thinks that's a cop out but they've read so much stuff already. My df should hopefully give me a list.

I always love to receive books but I've got so many that I've not read yet!
