Be grateful if anyone could give me any guidance.

My niece has enjoyed the Ann Rice novels - I wonder if anyone has any recommendations of recent novels of a similar genre that might appeal.

Struggling for Christmas presents! Thank you.

Tanith Lee's Blood Opera trilogy might be a good choice - I found them through the Anne Rice vampire books, and they are more subtle, but they have that same gothic feel to them. Dark Dance, Personal Darkness and Darkness I

She could try the Charlaine Harris True Blood books - certainly appealed to my teenager

How old is your niece? She might enjoy the Gail Carriger series. They have a steam punk gothic/ vampire werewolf vibe to them - my niece really enjoyed them.

Actually - I forgot a pretty important point - she's early 20s!

Thank you for your suggestions though.
