I can't remember much about it but it is something along the lines of a woman who goes away, maybe to a cottage near the sea after some trauma in her life. Whilst there she finds letters or a diary written by a female ancestor who was sent to an asylum unfairly by her male relatives, maybe get husband and father. Can anyone help, it's driving me mad haha!
