I kind of like the fact that strike doesn’t go in for big gestures so that when he does do it, it means something. I mean Matthew spent a lot on things for Robin but he was still shagging another woman

I’ve just been watching my favourite bit from “cuckoos calling” - drunk strike in the pub because it’s funny & sad & Robin is brilliant & I just want to take strike home & look after him (waves away feminist credentials 😆)

During the drunk ramble he goes on about there not being love letters anymore which made me think that he & Charlotte would have exchanged love letters in the army. A strike love letter! Now that I would like to read....

Hmm. Love letters. Do we have any examples of Strike's writing style from the books? I can't remember any. Would they read like an Oxford essay crossed with an army report? What did he study at Oxford, anyway?

I wonder if Rowling has a Strike love letter up her sleeve, to be revealed at some point.
