Any recommendations for short story collections. My mum is 91 and finds she can’t manage to read novels any more as she doesn’t remember what happened in the previous chapters.

Try short stories by Saki (H.H. Munro), O.Henry (W.S. Porter) and Maupassant.

Depending on your mum's tastes would she like This Christmas It Will Be Different by Maeve Binchy or The Penguin Book of The Contemporary Short Story?
