Book hauls

Does anyone have any book hauls to show or tell us? Kindle or paperbacks? I love knowing what everyone has been buying.

I went to a few charity shops today while out shopping and got all of these for just £5.00. Several were on my wish list and I'm especially pleased with the Dorothy Whipple because I love the Persephone classics books.

Those 11 books for £5? Wow. I'm impressed, charity shops round here are all genre fiction.

It can be very feast or famine with charity shops around here, but generally there's a reasonable variety of books though I don't often get such a good haul as this. I wasn't going to go out today because it's so miserable but I'm glad that I did.

The charity shops aren't open around here.

Good haul, though.

I really enjoyed that Robert Webb book.

I’m reading American Dirt. Great story, very intense though, I’m finding it a bit stressful!

Brilliant haul. Our charity shops are all closed but looking forward to the Oxfam bookshop opening again - I usually get a good haul from there.

I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the RW book. It's been on my wishlist for so long and I'm looking forward to reading it.

Thank you for reminding me of American Dirt too. I wanted to add it to my wishlist when I first heard about it but I forgot. I'll certainly do that now and hopefully purchase it in one form or another soon.

I love The Oxfam bookshops. As soon as we're out of our three week long restrictions here that's the first place I'm going.

Wow OP that is some charity shop book haul! Well done you.

My very best charity shop book find for me was the new hardback version of A Gentleman in Moscow for £1.50. It was a very special moment when I clocked it on the shelves of my local British Red Cross shop.

PS Enjoy the Cazalet book. It's delicious!

The Convent by Sarah Sheridan, its crime fiction and I've been gripped since the first page!

I loved the Robert Webb book too. I’m going to make sure my boys read it when they’re a bit older.
I’ve just picked up The Good Fairies of New York from the library so I’m looking forward to reading that. And I’ve bought a copy of The Salt on my Skin from the local bookshop who are doing a click and collect service. I’ve got a massive stash of things to read! :)
