Which book should I read next?

I need to select a Kindle read. I will mostly read it at bedtime and occasionally at other times (but I have another hard copy book on the go amongst other things I am reading). I want something where I can remember what happened last night and isn't too brain taxing. I've narrowed my choices to: -

Justine, by Laurence Durrell
Big Little Lies, Liane Moriarty
Chocolat, Joanne Harris

What should it be?

I liked big little lies. It was a very easy read. Haven't read the others though so can't compare

Big little lies is good! Also I LOVED 'Nine Perfect Strangers' by the same author

I’ve started reading the first chapter of each one. I did enjoy the last LM I read but they aren’t my usual sort of books, I only have it because it showed up on my daily Bookbub emails for 99p and I’m drawn to the sense of place in the other two but for what I need right now Big Little Lies does tick the box.

Justine. I like Durrell.

I have wanted to read his work for a long time... even the opening is just so evocative and lovely.

Big little lies. I'm reading it now and look forward to going to bed.

I’ve ended up with Big Little Lies because it was the longest of the three.

I have a feeling I might get into the whole quartet of Durrell so saving for later when I can indulge.

Chocolat I’m just not that sure about the first person narrative but will come back to it.
