Hi all
I’m hoping someone can help with my search. I’m trying to find a book I read about 10 years ago. I do not know the author or the title. The plot of the book involved things/ people being absorbed by the dark/ dark matter/ people from the past that had been sucked into this matter suddenly reappearing. I believe the story was set in the UK.. I m really hoping someone knows the the title and author. It’s been driving my mother and I bonkers!

I have no idea. But I'm place marking because it sounds good!

Thanks for replying, I read the synopsis of the book and sadly it’s not the one I’m trying to find.

I've read Dark Matter by Blake Crouch but that's about time travel. There's a book of the same name by Michelle Paver. Would it be that or one of her others which seem to be similarly spooky?

pollyhemlock · 19/10/2020 15:50

Light by M John Harrison ?

I remember part of the story was set in an office block, there was a party and people were swallowed into walls and the dark..

Do you remember anything about what the physical book looked like?

Lampan · 20/10/2020 19:09

You could post on ‘whatsthatbook’ on Reddit. Somebody on there will know!
