Just picked up my copy at Waterstones abd gutted that the cover is standard shiny dust jacket not fabric bound like Lyras oxford and Once upon a time in the north Sad. I already checked and nothing special hiding underneath.

The story better be good, been looking forward to it being published.

Anyone else reading and AIBU about the cover ?

Frozen spinach is a good standby in our house. But I find that most things last a good few days in the fridge, or even just in the fruit bowl. What are you buying?

Sorry! I clearly posted on the wrong thread! Blush

Well that did not take long to read !

Maybe you could weave your own cover out of spinach?

BoudicasBoudoir · 18/10/2020 20:33

Sorry to introduce spinach on your thread, OP. Is the book any good, despite its rubbish cover? Obviously, the reason I had opened your thread at all was because I was interested... but I haven’t got the book yet, so can’t comment properly.

A woven spinach cover might be perfect - if is exactly the colour needed Grin

I did have a look at this as I have loved all the others, but it was a bit pricey for 82 pages (I think that’s what it was).

Would you recommend? I like the idea of filling the gaps in Lyra’s story but it’s not cheap.
