Has anyone read this?

Might it be suitable for a mature 13 year old girl? It looks like it'd be right up DD's street (Scottish wilderness, lots of atmosphere, spooky). I don't mind if it has some sex in it but I want to ensure it doesn't have any kind of sexual abuse or torture in it.

It's not at all my type of book but I'll read it before I give it to her if necessary. I'm hoping to avoid doing so though :)

Thanks

Anyone read it? I haven't had time to even skim read it and Christmas is around the corner! Thanks in advance :)

I have, it was tedious.

I loved it and I would have liked it as a 13 yr old too. There’s an underlying menace to it, as it does deal with the abduction and murder of young women, but it’s sensitively done and not gratuitous imo.
She might like Andrew Michael Hurley’s books too, perhaps.

I read it and although it’s not my normal choice of book I did enjoy it. It’s really quite spooky. Without giving away too much, there are quite a few nasty references. I honestly can’t remember how explicit they are though sorry.

I loved it and think it should be fine for a 13 yo.

Was given it at the same time as 3 hours but rated Pine much more

Thank you. She reads some pretty dark stuff and loves spooky things so I think it will be ok.
